The 2008 Olympic medalist provides her expertise and virtual likeness to Shawn Johnson Gymnastics, one of the first console games based on the sport. In the main mode, gamers play through the young career of an aspiring gymnast, who may work her way from amateur to champion. The game is played with Wii handheld controllers, but is also compatible with the Wii Balance Board, for more authentic gymnastic challenges of whole-body control. Balance beam, floor exercise, uneven parallel bars, and vault are featured events. Players can unlock additional content featuring Johnson by practicing and perfecting their performances.
