Aaron Brown - Baroque Violin Andrew Fouts - Baroque Violin Dongsok Shin - Organ Grant Herreid - Theorbo Gabe Shuford - Organ, Harpsichord The Performers: Aaron Brown studied violin at the Juilliard School, Mannes College and Hunter College, and has performed with some of the finest early music groups in the United States, including Rebel Baroque Orchestra, the New York Collegium, Opera Lafayette, the Mark Morris Dance Group, Opera Omnia, ARTEK early music and the Clarion Music Society. In the past year he has toured extensively with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, appearing as a soloist for their 17th century Tapas program, and was recently awarded an Australia Council Emerging Artist grant to work with acclaimed Canadian violinist Marc Destrube. He has appeared at many of the world's major venues, including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Kennedy Center, BAM, the BOZAR Brussels, Grand Teatre Luxembourg and the Arsenal in Metz and has recorded for Naxos, Lyrichord, ABC Classics, CD Accord, InFocus and EAR records. Dongsok Shin has specialized exclusively on early keyboard instruments since the 1980's. Much in demand as a soloist and continuo player, Mr. Shin, who has been a member of REBEL since 1997, has appeared with ARTEK, Concert Royal, Early Music New York, Carmel Bach Festival, Mark Morris Dance Group, the New York Philharmonic, the Orchestra of St. Luke's and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He has recorded for Lyrichord, Newport Classic, Helicon, ATMA Classique, Hänssler Classic, Dorian Recordings and Bridge Records. Grant Herreid performs frequently with Hesperus, Piffaro, My Lord Chamberland's Consort and the Folger Consort, Ex Umbris, Visceral Reaction and New York City Opera, and this year he will make his debut with Tafelmusik and the Newbury Consort. Grant also conducts classes in Renaissance music and 17th century song at Mannes College of Music in New York, and directs the New York Continuo Collective. He has recorded for Archiv, Dorian, Lyrichord, Musical Heritage Society, Newport Classics and others. Andrew Fouts performs regularly with American Bach Soloists, Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra, and the Napa Valley Symphony and has appeared with Philharmonia Baroque, El Mundo, the National Cathedral Baroque Orchestra, Chatham Baroque, and Ensemble Galilei. In 2008 he won first prize at the Henry I. Goldberg International Young Artists Competition and recently became a full time member of Chatham Baroque. Gabe Shuford has performed with a diverse array of ensembles including Past Perfect, Bacchanalia, the Ray Anderson Quintet, and recently appeared with the Orchestra of St. Luke's at Carnegie Hall. He won second prize at the 2007 Irving Jurow International Harpsichord Competition, and was featured on All Songs Considered for his 2004 recording with the ensemble Stolen Shack.
