With a heart of worship and God-giftedness to lead in music, Aaron De La Cruz and his band bring a blended sound that's alive, fresh and new. Their style fuses Latin, funk, salsa, with touches of R&B and Rock to bring a worship experience that bridges generations, cultures, and churches. The members of the WorshipOut Band each minister every week at their local churches, but come together to go as God leads. They are worshippers first and musicians second. Believing that music itself is just a vehicle and not the destination, they are led by the principle that worship music is a bridge leading people into God's presence. They are guided by the purpose of presenting worshippers to the Lord. The vision is to one day be honored with the experience to lead a worship service of one million worshippers, all at once, unto the Lord God Almighty. Aaron De La Cruz began playing drums at the age of 4 at Canaan Church, Assemblies of God in Banning, California, where his parents were pastors. His father passed away when Aaron was 6, and his mother remains as the church pastor today. At the age of 8 he began piano lessons, and by age 12 he played piano full-time for the church. After high school, Aaron attended Latin American Bible Institute in La Puente, California, where he was involved in playing keyboards and singing in the choir. At age 19, his music experience expanded to include leading worship at Bethel Temple Assemblies of God church in Barstow, California, where he also served as youth pastor. In the 1990s, Aaron was one of the pioneering producers of worship dance music under the series name of Nitro Praise. He helped usher in a creative and new form of Christian music that took popular praise and worship songs and remixed them into dance and hip-hop music. Also at age 19, Aaron met his beautiful wife Norma, who has her own calling and giftedness in music and worship. Since then they have spent their years together ministering and partnering to create music that expresses their love for the Lord and each other. They first began ministering together as a young couple at The Covering Church in Covina, California. Then they spent 11 years ministering in music at Living Word Assembly in Chino, California, where Aaron also served full time on staff. In September of 2007, Aaron returned to his roots and is now serving full time as an Associate Pastor at Canaan Church in Banning, California. The family shares a new home in Beaumont, California with their four wonderful children - Brianna, Maiah, Jaclyn and Aaron, Jr. - as well as Buddy the Lab. Aaron lives his daily life with the appreciation that the legacy of worship passed to him will be passed on to his children and the next generations...
