The Amadeus Chorale children and youth are the singers on this holiday gem. The Amadeus Chorale is a vocal group of nearly a hundred singers from the Greater Rochester, New York area. There are several choirs in the chorale, which includes singers from third grade to tenth grade. Founder and Director Darla Bair and Accompanist Sally Martin are joined by Harpist Emily Sotherden on several tracks of this recording. If you are not familiar with the Britten \'Ceremony of Carols\' you will be delighted with the ancient text. Another song is in Spanish, two in Latin; and the quodlibet of \'I Believe/Ave Maria\' ends with a splash. This is Christmas music to play in the background for your family during the holiday season. There are many well-known songs, and some that may be new to you. All the music is appropriate for Christmas. This CD makes a great gift for anyone who celebrates Christmas!
