What separates music from ordinary sound is how frequencies are organized in terms of rhythm, melody and harmony. There is a prevailing structure created through this organization that draws specifically from human emotion and forms an aura around the sound. As a result, the music transmits the feelings that were most predominant at the moment of creation. The music that I compose is focused on drawing from our experience, both good and bad, in order to express an aesthetic that retains the essence of a remedy. My mission as an artist and a musician is to create songs that capture this very essence. Andrew was born in Lancaster, PA and began saxophone at the age of 10. He graduated from Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 2000 Cum Laude with a B.F.A. and studied with the Rick Van Matre. He has performed with Billy Hart, Maria Schneider, Jim Anderson, Stanley Turrentine, Art Gore, Roger Humphries, Rick Margitza and many more. He spent a year touring the U.S. with Ray's Music Exchange playing large venues like the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado and Park West in Chicago. He has also co-produced Hip-Hop beats for the Mission Control Label with owner Jahson. In 2002 Andrew moved to New York City where he has been performing and writing music. JAZZIZ described his playing as 'creative and refreshingly original.'
