Roleplay Media of Miami, Fl describes her as "an Amazing Talent. [A songstress who can] interpret a song with such raw, heart-stirring emotion; it will either bring you to your feet, or to your knees.' Annamaria Pasley, the phenomenal R&B/Inspirational vocalist, compared to Yolanda Adams, Mary J. Blige, India Irie, and Erikka Badu, has been surrounded by powerful musical and spiritual influences her entire life. A preacher's daughter, and the fifth child in a family of eight children, it would have been easy to get lost in the crowd, but AnnaMaria demonstrated a devotion to family, faith, and music that made her outstanding. She won her first music award at the tender age of six years old, going on to dominate the competition for the next few years. It was only at the request of the contest organizers for her to refrain from the competition that allowed another vocalist to supplant her. As AnnaMaria grew, she continued to make her mark being named 'Most Talented Senior' in high school. Annamaria Pasley worked diligently to sharpen her vocal skills, influences such as Candi Staten, Shirley Caesar, Commissioned, Ella Fitzgerald, and Anita Baker. Shortly after high school, AnnaMaria demonstrated her talent as a gifted lyricist during her time as a member of the R&B/Gospel act, Rebirth of Soul. AnnaMaria co-wrote a number of powerful songs heard over the South Florida airwaves, including Let the Spirit Move, Release the Pain and everyone's favorite Hiding Place. The CD 'I Am' has now been released. This 12-song freshman project was produced and written in a three months time period covering various genres/styles of music and marking her an accomplished producer and songwriter. One long time Seattle music promoter states, 'She has an uncanny ability to hear music and create a hit song. That is her unique gift from God.' Currently AnnaMaria resides in the State of Washington where she was a three-time winner at the 14th Annual Washington State Christian Talent Contest. For 2004 she won first place in the songwriting division, Female Vocalist category, and was awarded the overall Grand Prize Winner. And a few months later while teaching dance and mentoring youth in the community, AnnaMaria found time to audition for The KIRO-TV sponsored Star Search Seattle. With over 200 auditions and serious competition, she walked away with the championship! In 2005 AnnaMaria was singing, dancing and acting on stages all across the U.S. Among other things she is a model, educator, play write, choreographer, and an advocate for youth and children. From 2006 until current, AnnaMaria has traveled traveled extensively representing the Urban Gospel Alliance (UGA) hosting benefit concerts, awards shows, and artist showcases. She still accepted invitations to do concerts, lead worship, and conduct workshops. She worked with three (3) different youth dance groups. The first group (Danielle, Rachel, Alexa, Gabby, Rockie, Kim, and Brianna) was formed at her church New Heart Worship Center, the second group (Quila, Shjontelle, Tasha and NuNu) was through the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue and the last was a group of girls (Grace, Miriam, Stella, Abigail, Michelle, Brenda, Faith, Cynthia, and Amani) from Kenya, Africa called the Malaikaz. 'I know that God loves everybody, but sometimes I feel like I'm the only one He loves!! He is so good to me!! There is no way in the world that I could have hand selected these girls to be a part of my life. I consider them my gift from God. We had a chance to tour the schools, perform at community events and minister at church services. It was one of the more exciting times in my life working with 3 very different groups of girls. The first group was all Caucasian, the second African-American and the third group was African. Must people think that it shouldn't matter where they come from. Well...it does. Each groups history, culture and insight had a profound affect on my life and has shaped my value of ethnicities all the more.' "The next project" says AnnaMaria "is for this generation. I have something to say and I don't have to be lewd, vulgar or half naked for people to listen. If it's beats that they want, then that's what I'll give them. But they are going to be inspired, encouraged and more confident in who they are when I'm done.' Marked as a "triple threat" by her colleagues she has taken her platform to another level.
