Ben Abney is leaving no stone unturned in order to find authenticity. 'Adopted Seeds' reveals a naked society and all it's ugly evils, not with the intention to complain, but with the plea of awareness. If Abney was looking for unashamed honesty, that's what he found when he paired up with Joey Lemon and Paul Goodenough from the band, Berry, to record this batch of roots infused folk-rock songs. Tracked mostly live in the Berry band house in Chicago, 'Adopted Seeds' brings the organic feel of 'Music from the Big Pink' by the Band and tunes that can assure the listener that, opposed the the strange and dumbing world we live in, there are no smoke and mirrors within Abney's songs.
