Product Notes

Composer guitar player Ben Havick's latest efforts to contribute to the American Art Form of Jazz combo are striking and original in their dedication to rudimentary bop elements and feathered softness inspiring a return to graceful envelopment. His site, Benhavick.com, features a few samples from his 2006 release "Help Me Dance". "Help Me Dance", Havick's 34th self produced album, is a nice collection of original Jazz tunes featuring highlights such as "Written in the Word", " Big Baron", and "Next Stuck", as well as twisted investments in reinventing the swing "Oh Go", and "And Can't Block the Queen", where Havick's now trademark attempts to invert and reinvent the Blues over the "spirited" swing sound subtly succeed. His website currently features one sample from the too-be-released album 'Cool Aid'. The song snippet is only a blueprint and is titled "Huck Luck". This guitar player is worth a listen, as his adherence to tradition and his adaptation of the swing beat bring the listener a little bit closer to the guitar. Born June 13, 1977.
