Big Timber is a four-piece rock band from Denver, CO. Formed in the summer of 2005, Big Timber is taking a refreshing approach towards their music. Although all of the members cut their teeth on punk rock, their sound owes more to a mix of classic rock and post-punk. All four of the members have been in or around bands together over the years (Call Sign Cobra, Bailer, Murder Scene Cleanup Team, Five Day Messiah). Trevor, Bryce and Chuck were most recently in Pariah Caste. It was when this band went on hiatus that they asked Andy if he wanted to start a new band. After a few runs at some post-hardcore sounding songs the band realized they needed to try something different. The old styles they were used to playing were coming to them too easily and they no longer felt they were playing what they wanted. So, the members made a conscious effort to challenge themselves. Every member had diverse musical tastes and they wanted to explore these further. The band quickly discovered that they've been far more influenced by acts like The Beatles, The Kinks, Bruce Springsteen, The Velvet Underground etc. Than by the great punk acts of their early youth. It's with these influences and an ethos rooted in punk rock that Big Timber has emerged. The members are all used to touring and recording and so far they have hit the ground running. They have three records out including their newest full-length, "Alma", plus a couple tours under their belts. Touring in 2007 is already in the works.
