Bill Ireton, guitar, has performed various styles of music ranging from gritty rock and funk to sultry smooth and jazz in a variety of bands and ensembles touring the US and Europe. He has played with and rubbed elbows with Johnny Johnson and Buddy Guy in the blues arena to Steve Erquiaga and Mike Stern in the Jazz arena. Bill currently tours with Alligator Records, EC Scott, whom has recorded on her last album, The Other Side Of Me. Biography -Born in 1967, Bill C Ireton grew up in an era where blues-rock was at it's peak. His formative musical years took place in the San Francisco Bay Area where he played the clubs with all kinds of bands playing everything from Led Zepplin to James Brown. Ireton was influenced by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, and the great blues guitarists Albert King and Buddy Guy. While blending in a jazz performance degree at San Jose State University, Ireton created a unique style and presence which has been captivating audiences everywhere, be it from his dirty funk and blues performances or with his clean jazz-fusion style.
