Rising out of the swamping deltas of Aylesbury, Bootstrap quickly became one the hottest bands on the local scene. Regularly playing to large crowds all over Buckinghamshire, they\'ve homed in a live act that electrifies the audience. The bands latest album, Cecille, fuses Delmondo Fox\'s boot-stompin vocal work with back-to-basics Delta Garage Blues to churn out the group\'s exhilarating album of original and bona fide tunes. With standout tracks like \'Englands Dead,\' already popular on the radio, Bootstrap boogie, bend and blister on. "Great Record" BBC6Music "Record of the week" Sound of Confusion "21st century blues" Rupe\'s Gig Guide Notable achievements for slackers : No.1 in the Scilly Isles, Headlined Bickersock Festival, 2nd in XFM Competition, Released an album purely funded out of gigging. Sound Bootstrap is primarily a live band. Taking there notes from the old rock n roll and garage bands, when it was all about the live show. They aim to put on that gig you want a live band to do. It\'s about getting a beat, a rhythm, building it up, up, up and taking it down, down, down. It's about not forgetting the audience. It's not often you can dance to band with a lap steel slide or watch a bassist playing lead lines, but with Bootstrap this logic is just fitted as standard. Line-up Delmondo Fox - Searing vocals and rumble thump bass Duncan Cooke - Stripped down rhythm and surf guitar Cloudyhead - Lap Steel Slide and undercurrent guitars Tim Williams - Mojo boogie drums Ambitions of World Domination? No, not really. Bootstrap is made up of four guys who\'ve already gigged the usual old haunts. It\'s the weirder gigs that get them out of bed. Whether it's playing live on the radio in the Scilly Isles, 500 people in a 17th Century barn, a funeral wake, an open mike in New York, maybe three gigs in a night. This is what turns them on. "We don\'t do an exterme amount of gigs," ponders the lead singer. "It kinda takes a lot out of us. We prefer playing to a rabid audience occasionally or the strange gig no-one else would. Find an audience, shake em up and spin em about. That's kinda what we\'re in it for." Bootstrap is also part of the successful Subsiren club night, bringing bizarre and strangely beautiful bands to Aylesbury that you just can\'t see anywhere else. Cecille is released on Bootstrap\'s own label Viva Dang.
