Joining the ranks of other music scribes who have albums out, Brad Harvey has thrown his debut CD 'Me First' into the ring. Taken from his private vaults, 'Me First' consists of eight tracks recorded over the last decade when Harvey had a working band and before he became known to the readers of The Big Takeover, Amplifier, OIL the Music Magazine, and billionbrads.com as a music critic. Leaning heavily towards The Beatles, The Who, The Smithereens, and Marshall Crenshaw, 'Me First' features tracks such as 'Deep Down', a driving Beatlesque rocker with Who bass lines; 'Hurry', a bouncy neo-country pop styled ditty; 'Before The Evening Falls', a bittersweet 'coming home' tune modeled after The Smithereens; and another driving rocker a la 'Deep Down' titled 'You Won't Have Time'. 'This album won't change the world,' remarks Harvey, 'but the eight songs on it make a nice noise.'
