The band formed in the fall of 2005 in Baton Rouge, LA. Vocalist/Guitarist, Phillip Gayle, JR teamed up with bassist Matthew Rusnak and drummer, Jonathan Grimes, to form 'the best rock band from Baton Rouge since Kevin Griffin of Better Than Ezra was attending Louisiana State University in the late eighties.' - Tiger Weekly, October 2006 Since the bands inception, The Bradfords (originally The Delta Kings) have continued to thrive as they tour the Southeastern United States. Their energetic and entertaining shows, coupled with their unmistakable musical ability have landing the band some local fame and an ever growing fan base. The band got it's start covering many of their favorite tunes at local bars and fraternity parties. It wasn't too long before their incredible jams and hooks began to come out during live performances which soon turned into songs like 'Lady Jane', a soulful jam which usually comprises a good eight minutes of the King's set list. Other songs, such as 'Carolina' are everything a modern pop/rock song should be; Great guitar riffs, a recognizable melody, and a killer chorus hook that leaves you humming the song days later. It's no surprise that the band's first studio album, 'Rivertown Remedy', scheduled for release in March of 2007, sounds nothing like a first attempt but rather like a third or fourth record, with all the precision of a studio album, yet capturing all the energy and emotion of a live performance. Undeniable stage presence and note for note precision make a Bradfords show, one you won't soon forget! Band Contacts: Management firstname.lastname@example.org Booking email@example.com.
