Busted Crutch is a former hard rock electric band gone bad--WE'VE GONE ACOUSTIC! With great songs, raspy vocals, and amazingly full acoustic guitar parts performed live in the studio on a totally beat 1968 Martin D-35 that sounds like nothing else, the new 'Flat' CD takes you far from the hackneyed 'big studio' arrangements that have become so predictable and boring. With just lead vocal, tasty guitar, and perfect harmony vocals, these recordings have space and air, and an immediacy that's rare. But despite the stripped-down acoustic sound, THESE SONGS ROCK! Most were written to be played in an electric power trio, so there's energy and drive and none of the strummy cheese of typical acoustic music. You haven't heard anything like this! The songs were written by John Karl, a veteran of several bands in the Seattle music scene. And the acoustic version of Busted Crutch features Tina Morrison, another gigging veteran from Seattle. John and Tina played together in two other bands in the early '90s during the Seattle grunge explosion, and they've come together again to present this sound and these songs. These songs were meant to be heard, so TURN IT UP!
