Product Notes

Formed by songwriter Dave Monson and Paul Miksic in 1999 . Cazadores unique sound reflects Dave's close ties with Mexican rock. Constantly writing and performing; Dave and has logged nearly 100 songs in the ever-growing Cazadores songbook, with additional side projects due for release later this year. He sites influences such as Leonard Cohen, Caifanes, Frank Black, and Elvis Costello. Talking about CAZADORES' music Dave Monson said, 'This band thrives on raw energy and new ideas. Every time we rehearse, new material comes rushing out and our set list evolves with every show. One thing is certain- we'll be writing and recording for a long time to come.' In 2002, Cazadores celebrated the release of it's debut album 'The Curse of Fred Astaire'.The album features 15 tracks, all originals including 'La Calle de Noche Triste', 'Gasoline Wings', and 'Let's Stay in Love'. Recorded in Minneapolis at SIBERIA SOUND and released on DIAPHRAM INC., this album is the culmination of the band's first 3 years of performing and song-writing.
