Chris Holiman began his Musical journey as the frontman of the 80\'s and 90\'s folk pop band The River Roses. After that outfit broke-up he began the band 35 Summers. This project \'Solo Parts\' was begun in 2000 after that second band dissolved. It is a collection of moody songs mostly written around the time of Holiman\'s Father dying. He wrote the songs while playing guitar on a tour in Europe for his friend Chris Cacavas. The songs hold the mood of those grey winter days in europe mixed with the saddness of his father\'s passing. When he decided to record the songs he enlisted the talents of Drummer Tom Larkins (who mostly preforms with Jonathan Richman, notably appearing in the movie \'Something About Mary\' along side jonathan) & also some help from Joey Burns from Calexico. Joey played stand up bass and cello on some of the projects most haunting tracks. The project was completed and released in 2002. Holiman was at this time busy with his new band The Downtown Saints, so the CD didn\'t get the attention it needed. However Holiman is recording a new solo album and planning to promote this CD and the new in the coming year.
