CIRO DANIEL BUONO is a talented Argentine composer, arranger and contrabassist. On ´TANGO PRODIGO´- his second discographic work- he presents new instrumental contemporary tango pieces of his own that highlight the characteristic tango's tone: melancholy and power of ´bandoneon', melodious feeling of violin, piano's harmonic ensemble, deep roar of contrabass, Spanish guitar and the Latin Percussion's rythm. Ciro Daniel Buono integrates THE COLON THEATRE ORCHESTRA of Buenos Aires. He's professor at THE POPULAR MUSIC SCHOOL OF AVELLANEDA (Tango Contrabass and Electrical Bass Professorship). He plays Chamber Music Concerts and leads his own INSTRUMENTAL TANGO ENSEMBLE. He made numerous concerts in different cities of Argentina, Europe and Latin America, including Germany, Spain, Portugal, México, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Uruguay, Brazil and Costa Rica. He participated in many International Festivals like CARACAS MUSIC FESTIVAL, GRANADA TANGO FESTIVAL, BUENOS AIRES TANGO FESTIVAL, LISBOA TANGO FESTIVAL, MONTEVIDEO TANGO FESTIVAL. He integrated the following Tango Orchestras: Orlando Trípodi Quartet, Tango x 2, Yoshinori Yoneyama Orchestra, Rodolfo Mederos Quintet. He performed with great icons of Tango like Horacio Salgán, Osvaldo Berlingeri, José Colángelo, Nestor Marconi, Osvaldo Piro, Antonio Agri, Fernando Suarez Paz, Roberto Goyeneche, Libertad Lamarque, etc. In 1998, ´Contrabajeando´, his first CD, obtained the reward of "Tribune of Argentine Music" organised by UNESCO's International Music Council. He also participated in the recording of many CDs like "PIAZZOLA HOY", together with The Colon Theatre Orchestra, the Tango Orchestra of YOSHINORI YONEYAMA, Tango Orchestra of ORLANDO TRIPODI, THE SABANDEÑOS CHORUS (Canaries Island) and the music of many films: ´El día que Maradona conoció a Gardel´, 'Solde Otoño', 'El Sueño de los Héroes', 'Sus ojos se Cerraron'. CIRO DANIEL BUONO was born in the City of MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina. He currently resides in BUENOS AIRES.
