Confluence is Jim Adams, Kristy Christian, and Mike Manley. Based out of Dayton, OH, Confluence started out as a one time performance for a school talent show, where all three members worked. After the success of that performance, Jim, Kristy and Mike began performing together regularly and also began writing their own material. They have continually performed in the area for the past 3 years while completing their first self-titled CD. Jim Adams plays the electric and acoustic lead guitars, as well as the mandolin and ebow. Jim's influences include classic rock (namely Zeppelin) as well as classic country, which he heard his father play while he was growing up. Kristy sings and plays rhythm acoustic guitar. Kristy's main influences include, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, and the Dixie Chicks. Though this is both Jim and Kristy's first band, they both bring a professional attitude towards the music and the shows. Mike sings and plays rhythm guitar, keyboards, and drum programming. Mike has performed in bands and solo for about 15 years. His musical influences include the Beatles, Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor and 70s pop rock. Confluence started as simply an acoustic rock trio, but in the studio, they decided to had a bit of electric and drums. This trend will continue in their live performance as well, as the band plans to add a drummer for future club dates. At this time, Confluence is no longer performing. However, Kristy, Jim and Mike are all persuing other careers in music and other fields.
