This is Cory Brammer's debut CD entitled 'Not Yet' consisitng of a collection of original tunes as well as songs by SRV and Hendrix. (Blues/Rock) The world has always been interested in the young and talented. Great skill is valued and admired in anyone, but such an extraordinary gift combined with youth is incredibly rare. So it is with Cory Brammer. He's only fourteen years old, but plays the guitar with a blend of technical expertise and soulful expression that ordinarily would take decades to develop. Growing up in southwest Virginia, Cory first picked up an old Sears guitar at age eight and a half. Like a young boy's growth spurts of height, his rapid progress with the instrument began at age nine with his first lessons. He got his first Fender Strat and first gig at age twelve, and then at thirteen, his first CD release, the truthfully-titled Not Yet!, in 1999. But Cory's age is not what makes his guitar playing special. Listen to him play. You can hear influences like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix in his tone, and the technical prowess of Vinnie Moore and Joe Satriani in his rapid-fire licks. Cory Brammer is a sponge for new music and styles, and is already successfully blending his musical heritage into a sound all his own. And the thing is, Cory Brammer only stands to get better. He is still new to his chosen instrument, new to the stage and crowd. But he is focused and talented-a combination that is leading Cory Brammer to a brilliant future. Just listen to the kid play!
