Formed in 2002, Crop Circle was blessed with early success. Before setting foot on stage the band had a surprise runaway hit with Mexican Cockfight. From there the band hit the road touring western Canada several times from Victoria to Winnipeg. Some of the highlights included performing with ZZ Top at The Bluff in Kelowna, playing Calgary Stampede with Bif Naked, 2 consecutive years on Budweiser's True Music tour and 3 trips to Edmonton within a 3-week period. In that time Crop Circle produced 2 demo EPs and sold over 1,000 copies right off the stage. The band used those hard miles and experience on the road to write songs and develop their sound. Crop Circle then entered the studio with producer Todd Kerns to record their debut album "Come Inside." The band wanted to cut it old school so the complete record was recorded and mixed to tape in just 2 weeks. The CD was released in April of '08. Crop Circle is comprised of a bunch of guys who grew up together in Mission, a small mill town outside of Vancouver, BC Canada. They all played in their first bands together in high school, so their roots run deep. In fact, the band still rehearses in an old barn out in the Valley. Crop Circle is all about friends uncompromisingly playing the music they love and having a great time doing it! Sean McCormick (vocals), Brian Garbet (guitar), Nathan Zadworny (bass) & Ben Darbey (drums). "Release of the week is Crop Circle's Come Inside. It's been a few years coming but in that time the band has developed it's sound to 70's-influenced hard-rock (with a touch of Nirvana) and improved as songwriters." -TOM HARRISON, music writer : THE PROVINCE, Vancouver "The secret is out - a long sought after mystery has been revealed. The answers to the world's crop circle phenomenon lie here on Canada's west coast!" -SHANNON AMBROSE : The TUB Mag 'I've watched Crop Circle from the sidelines for the last couple of years. These guys show great tenacity and are poised for big things. Keep an eye on them 'cause things are about to explode!' -TODD HANCOCK, DJ : 99.3 THE FOX 'The CROP CIRCLE recording is going amazing. Very SABBATH meets SCREAMING TREES. That's the best I can describe it. Very raw. Very honest. Sean McCormick is the best singer I've yet to record. Just a f***ing powerhouse!!! Can't wait for you to hear the new CROP CIRCLE record once it's finished.' -TODD KERNS, producer : AGE OF ELECTRIC, STATIC IN STEREO & BIF NAKED 'Solid rock'n'roll...the way it should be.' -MARY-ANNE KOROSI, host : NEW MUSIC CANADA & PUNKORAMA 'We all know the pre-fabricated pop stars out there, whose wonder lies primarily in their marketing appeal rather than their musical ability. What a pleasure it is, then, to hear a talented group like Crop Circle, springing forth seemingly fully-formed, with a direct, listenable sound.' -CHRIS NELSON, former host : Going Coastal - MUCH MUSIC "Crop Circle is a band on the rise with killer tracks like Capitalist Bitch. The first time I heard this song I had to find out what these guys were all about." -DAVE BENEDICT, bassist : DEFAULT 'muscle and intelligence.' -TOM HARRISON, music writer : THE PROVINCE, Vancouver "Crop Circle completely avoids the irritant factor by writing consistently catchy hooks that tend to inspire rather than annoy." -EDWARD DINSLEY, music writer : THE SKINNY, Vancouver.
