These are powerful, scriptural, spiritual songs describing the pursuit of sincerity and honesty in personal relationships with the Lord and with His church. This is not a praise and worship album, but it is deeply felt and moving exhortation to the church, encouraging authenticity and transparency. Rock rhythms and electric guitars on several numbers are balanced by more melodic and contemplative acoustic based songs. A few keyboard/piano centered pieces round out the collection. There is a sense of humor throughout. Stylistically this music compares to Keith Green, Rich Mullins, Jackson Browne, Chris Rice.
