Craig Heartsill is from Riverside, California where he discovered his love for music in his uncle's bedroom. Full of stacks of Penthouse magazines, an 8 track player and 8-track tapes like The Who, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles and in the closet... a stolen guitar. 10 year old Craig thought it was a perfect opportunity to learn to play that guitar, after all, his uncle was doing a 4 year prison sentence and wouldn't need it for awhile. Craig's mom took him to Leirs Music in Riverside where 10 year old Craig met Howard Hart. Craig took lessons from this phenomenal player for 3 years. Later in life, 27 year old Craig would return and take another 2 years of training with Howard Hart. Craig's influence range from Terrible Ted Nugent, Judas Prist, Kiss and anyone who had an Aggressive guitar tone. Craig has been playing solid for 30 years and now uses 2 JCM 900 Marshall Half Stack's all Boss foot pedals and some Gibson., b.c. Rich, Tradition, Fender Charuel Jackson guitars and most importantly, he peels the frets back everywhere he plays. Craig's shrilling vocals and soaring guitar solos have left even some of Craig's idols such as Ted Nugent begging for more. Craig is the founding member of the Dead Cowboyz and lives to play.
