Bringing together many musical influences in what might best be described as laid-back South Austin folkadelic, here's a band of friends who love writing music and playing together. Mike McKane played in several bands in Dallas and Austin in the 60's and early 70's, including The People and Oedipus & the Mothers. Phil Bentley hails from Lubbock, and began playing guitar and writing music after moving to Austin in '76. Fellow ex-Lubbockite Joaquin Hancock is part of the legendary Hancock family (Supernatural Family Band, Texana Dames). Susie Mauldin played in the band Gemini in Amsterdam, and studied salsa at Johnny Colon's East Harlem School of Music in New York. Mark Andes' musical history spans 38 years with world renowned groups such as Spirit, Jo Jo Gunne, Firefall, Heart, Stevie Nicks, and Dan Fogelberg. McKane, Bentley, and Mauldin (who have co-written over 120 songs) harmonize and share lead vocal duties, making for a diverse sound. Enjoy!
