BORN 3/26/50 SAN ANTONIO TEXAS Joe gets to see ELVIS in 1956 with his Mom and Joe's life is changed forever. Diamond Joe buys a â€-60 Duo Sonic- Fender of course! At the end of 1971 was a milestone for as Joe decides to be a musician forever and never looks back 1973/74 Joe is asked to join his first band with Cliff Carter and Bill Campbell, years later Cliff became the engineer at Armadillo. In 1975 Joe joins the "Texas Shieks" with Uncle John Turner (Johnny Winter's first drummer) and Keith Ferguson who later became the Fabulous Thunderbird's first bass player. From 1975 thru 77 Diamond Joe plays in bands with R.C. Banks and Drew Pennington, who would later front the "Nightcrawlers" with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Joe and R.C. create the "Bluesbeats" an eleven piece soul/blues band who recorded a LP. Diamond Joe joins up with the "Ragin' Cajun" Kenny Acosta fron Baton Rouge, the band goes on with a very successful two year run. In 1979 steps out front for the first time stating that all I need is bass and drums, hooks up with Joe Gracey and Bobby Earl Smith of Electric Graceyland Studios fame. Gracey gets Joe to record a rock record of all originals "Diamond Joe Siddons ...quot; The EP" which is met with rave reviews. Diamond Joe moves to NYC in '85, where he met Lisa Lowell and started writing material for Lisa's band which featured Joe and Wayn Kramer of MC5 fame, and Neil Thomas who went on to form Loupe Garou. 2001- THE DIAMOND JOE SIDDONS BAND- with Bobby Day on bass, and George Morales on Drums. NYC harp ace and solo recording artists- Felix Cabrera asks Joe to play guitar on his gigs as a hired gun, they go on to record a demo CD with Matt Smith, Billy Schroder and Tony Mariano. Diamond Joe works with many of the NYC area's best including Arthur Neilson (Shemekia Copeland) and Kevin Kiley (Bettye Lavette.) Which brings us to 2005, as Joe release his self produced CD "Wasted Dayze and Twisted Nights."
