Merry Christmas with Love Diana[CD]
Diana Peterson has always enjoyed entertaining, especially at Christmas time. She has performed for audiences in Europe as well as the United States, with a sweet, ballad style, as well as a hard-hitting vocal interpretation of jazz, rock, and Broadway favorites. She was the featured soloist with the U.S. Sixth Fleet Music Show during the 1970s, appearing in concert at the Munich Olympics and many European cities. She fronted the band's rock group, Coach, with a style that can only be described as her own. Her first recording was the 'We Believe in Music' album recorded with the U.S. Air Force Europe Band and the U.S. Seventh Army Chorus. Her first CD, 'Diana Sings!' was recorded in 2005. This year she is proud to present a new Christmas album called 'Merry Christmas, With Love, Diana'. The album features popular Christmas standards, original compositions, and some unusual selections. Diana is a pianist, vocalist, choral director, and composer. She holds a bachelor's degree in music from the University of South Florida, and continued her graduate work in piano pedagogy at Catholic University and George Mason University. In addition to performing, she has taught piano and voice privately for many years, as well as teaching music in the Fairfax County Public School system for eight years.
