Once in a while an album like this comes along that leaves you yearning to hear it again and again. With echoes of Joni Mitchell and Phoebe Snow mixed with more modern sounds like Frou Frou and Sixpence, producer Ricky Andrade of the Dance Floor Prophets has, with this set of 10 songs, created a masterpiece. Diane first met producer Ricky Andrade on a road trip up the California coast in the Dance Floor Prophets band van. "Every time Ricky and the DFP played at a coffee shop, I couldn't believe the songs! They were so good! I always wanted to meet him." Diane and Ricky stayed awake for the drive talking about anything and everything, and of course about music. Out of that road trip came a years worth of guitar lessons and Rick's interest in Diane's songs. A year later they were in the studio working on the arrangements that would become the album Rock Everlasting. It wouldn't be fair if we didn't take a minute and tell you about the STUDIO... The coolest studio ever! Downtown San Diego, in an urban church called Park Chapel, if you walk in the sanctuary, up the stairs to the stage, and thru the back door to the prayer room, there is a little door on the left. Go thru that door and there's this wooden staircase that goes way up to the top to what was once the "bride room". Wood floor, oriental rugs, a leather couch and big speakers... so much awesome music happens in that studio. If you ever run into Diane or Rick at a gig, be sure to ask about it. Pastor's wife, mother of a three year old, and still working the day job to fund the music dream... Diane has the ability with her songs to make even the busiest person a little less tired, and the worst day a little "more better". You should check it out...
