About Divine Tragedy: Divine Tragedy is a Heavy Metal band spawning from east Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Their music is the culmination of four talented individuals which is both beautiful and terrible all in one. With Dustin McKee's speed and skill on Drums it sounds like a locomotive rumbling over your skull. Mike McGinty pounds his bass riffs like a Jack hammer into your chest. Justin Calligaro will shred your face off, when not engaged with Krist in the signature Divine Tragedy dual lead guitar attack. The icing on the cake is Krist McKee's passionate, melodic vocals. His extreme range is remincent of Rob Halford to Jim Morrison to Kurt Coabain. Divine Tragedy will reminds us of what metal used to be, as well as taking the listener somewhere new. Formed in the fall of 1999, Divine Tragedy has played many venues in the Western PA area. About Final Dawn: Final Dawn was a cumulative work in progress for the band over the last year and a half. The album's concept can be wrapped up in it's title which encompases the angst and despair we all find within ourselves, yet our innner strength that remains in our darkest hours. Tracks such as 'When Civilization Falls' deals with the colapse of the world we know and the passion to fight til the end. Similar motifs exist in 'Carpe Diem' where value is put upon our own actions and the lack of submission into the monotonous self-destructive overtones that society imposes on us. Each member of the band contributed their ideas to this undertaking which created the theme as a whole. Backing this with a combined talent musicians, the music is the driving force behind the album as a whole. This album was designed not only to stimulate your thinking, but to make you feel exactly what they wanted you too. Linking all this chaos together with mechanical and macabre overtones reveals the meaning of the band's focus... Divine Tragedy.
