Born in Youngstown Ohio I began my musical journey at around seven years old as a singer, mostly at parties and family functions. Then I began my 'band era' doing covers but rapidly developing an interest in songwriting and recording through the influence of the Beatles, Lead Zeppelin and The Who. More recent influences include Jack White, Death Cab, John Mayer, and Jenny Lewis. I attended music school for two years studying composition which helped my songwriting.Other than that I grew disinterested in Classical music. I liked to Rock. I moved to LA and was on an indie label for two releases before they went under. I moved back to Tucson and kept writing and recording. The extremely rapid growth of the Web and simultaneous growth of the indie movement drove me into the studio. I found the possibility of making music under my own terms both inspiring and motivating. With the talented help of Nate Ludwig on drums,Kirk McFarland on bass,Nick Musiker on guitar, and the engineering/production of Bill Cashman 'Scream Here' came together with great success. The live, spontaneous sound that I think is the basis of rock, was captured in the studio. Ed Baun.
