Blissfully Abundant is Elaine Silver's 2008 masterpiece CD release. It consists of 12 artfully-crafted songs and chants that celebrate and affirm Divine Law and Love, as well as one cover song, 'Hallelujah,' by the GREAT Leonard Cohen. John Guth, her engineer and backup 'band' plays most of the instruments on this record, including guitars, bass, PanArt Hang, woodwinds, bells and percussion. Elaine supplies rhythm guitar and she is ably accompanied by the inimitable Jay Ungar on fiddle on the title track, 'Blissfully Abundant.' For Elaine to finally have Jay play on her record is a 30 year vision that has finally manifested. His part is like liquid-sounding silver on this worthy waltz and she is so happy to have this dream come true. Other musician include the wonderful Lisa Gutkin (The Klezmatics) on fiddle, the powerful Jon Cobert (Tom Chapin Band) on piano, and on her Swing Tune, 'The Happy and Grateful Swing,' she includes the passionate Matt Haviland on Trombone and the lilting Laurel Masse' (founding member of the Manhattan Transfer) on harmony vocals. Elaine Silver has a voice you'll never forget. It has been described as stunningly clear and fine, magnificent, rich and supple. She is also a songwriter and workshop leader, as well as a Wedding Officiant with a musical ministry. Elaine has also performed for and with hundreds of thousands of children presenting interactive concerts and school assemblies, as well as delighting groups of any age range. She has recently become certified as a Passion Test Facilitator and uses this fun, powerful and transformative process as an adjunct to her heartfelt and valuable work.
