Hailing from Portland, Oregon comes a band that was inevitably waiting to happen. Empty Room is a unique blend of post-punk and new wave. Their on-stage dynamics of infectious guitar, bass and keyboard riffs create a fireball of excitement throughout the crowd, leaving them wanting more. Empty Room began in August of 2003 through a mixture of meeting various karaoke bar denizens and Ministry concert attendees. With a glitter-goth singer and the addition of a metal drummer, Empty Room veered more towards a heavier sound, but with the melodic post-electro-rock sound they had already carved out. With a solidified line-up, Empty Room immediately headed into the studio to record their first release, the 'Silence' EP. Produced by kiisu and Kelly, every note of every song sounds exactly the way the band wanted it to, without compromising on anything, including the packaging. It's this kind of dedication that sets them apart from other trend setters, and makes people keep coming back to the live shows. 'Making pop music good again.'
