Music fans around the world are reacting with great passion upon hearing the new, just released Eric Eden album entitled IVYLAND. Cutting edge and timeless, Eric's voice and songs are haunting and powerful. Once you have heard him, you will not forget it. Eric seems to be of a different time; his music evokes tragic reverence and absolute integrity woven with chords, lyrics and melody not easily untangled. The depth of his writing puts him at the table with artists like Paul Simon, John Lennon and Peter Gabriel. His honesty and passion are soulful and authentic. He is an artist! And in what is surely a milestone in Eden's career, his musical heroes assembled as his 'in studio band' to record IVYLAND. Collectively, these musicians have not played together since David Bowie's "Young Americans" album...until now. IVYLAND has reunited Drummer Andy Newmark (John Lennon's "Double Fantasy", Sly and the Family Stone and George Harrison), Bassist Willie Weeks (George Harrison, Donnie Hathaway and Eric Clapton), and Guitarist Carlos Alomar (David Bowie's favorite guitarist and musical director). Mike Brunner (Eric's longtime guitarist and LA session musician) completes the musical equation. IVYLAND was produced by Ritchie Rubini formerly of The Caulfields. Nick Didia mixed IVYLAND at Southern Tracks Studio in Atlanta. Nick is best known for his exceptional recordings of Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Bruce Springsteen. IVYLAND was Mastered by Grammy Award winning engineer Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering in Portland, Maine. Eric will be touring to promote IVYLAND solo and with a band.
