A little Luck and Playfulness mixed with Brilliance and Passion. A joke on your best friend right before he or she hits rock bottom and another joke right after to cheer that same friend back up. A punch against the wall, a kiss good night, a high five, and a wave goodbye. From this real life roller coaster erupts Eric Lives Here, a Midwestern band oozing the sensibility only college kids can shelter. Before solidifying a six person line-up in the beginning of 2006, ELH began with just two friends: one with nothing but lyrics and a knack for melodies, and one with nothing but an acoustic guitar and a head full of licks. After calling upon the help of two other guitar-obsessed friends, a piano man, and a red headed drummer, the full band, known today as Eric Lives Here, began their musical journey. Sensing something special, ELH wasted no time getting into the studio to record their debut EP "Misplaced Mistakes." Recorded in their home state of Wisconsin (to four members) as well as mixed and mastered at Milwaukee's DV Productions (Live, Violent Femmes), the band has created a mix of emotions relayed through song. Fans are delighted to hear the all-electric live performance, which kicks the music up a notch from the first four songs of the acoustic-esque EP. ELH's sound has been likened to the Goo Goo Dolls, around the time of their second major album. This comparison mainly raised because of the "hard edge" and "soft edge" that ELH covertly lays on their listeners. The Midwest natives (Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota) have dug deep inside themselves to invent "Misplaced Mistakes," modifying a 90s rock style that fell out the window with Mr. Jones over a decade ago.**.
