Gerald Miller MAHKINGDOM RECORDS Recording artist vocals and guitar Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ca., Dec.14,1960. Gerald began piano instruction at 9 and guitar at age 12. He developed his singing, guitar skills and songwriting while performing at area schools, churches and clubs. He carried with music on through his college years and performed at coffee houses, concerts and casual events. Stepping up a higher level of musicianship, Gerald attended the famous, Dick Grove School of Music in Studio City, CA, which gave him a strong foundation in arranging and composing. He lays claim to numerous gospel, jazz, r&b and pop groups, which has brought him a wealth of experience. Oftentimes, Gerald served as the frontman - singing and playing. As a natural leader, Gerald served as music director on several stints with these groups. His major influences have been George Benson, Earl Klu and Al Jarreau. Styles: Contemporary jazz and all jazz. Rhythm & blues, gospel and some pop Performance - As a guitarist, Gerald has backed up several well-known singers, such as Dionne Warwick, Denise Williams, Al Green and Howard Hewitt and has been a regular on the local Los Angeles jazz scene for many years.
