WHO IS DIVA? DIVA is comprised of three guys from Berlin who finally joined the band in January 2004 after knowing each other for many years. Each member had been working in various professional projects before realizing his destiny as a DIVA. DIVA MEANS FUN. MAGISTA is the singer of the band and writes most of the lyrics. DRUMINISTA is the ultimate beatmaster - from programming to drumming on his real set. DIVISTA is the band's mastermind. He handles most of the arrangements and production. He plays all the strings and keys as well. DIVine MUSIC. All the songs are written by all members of the band and have been recorded and produced in the living room. DIVA is German and so are the lyrics. DIVA reflects the musical preferences of it's members, which of course means a lot of fun: So MAGISTA listens to FU Manchu while he chases Harleys on his Triumph. DRUMINISTA's life is influenced by the beats of Massive Attack and Tool. DIVISTA is tuning his bass guitar into the sounds of Bootsy Collins and NERD...cuz "in funk he trusts." The result is a cross between Outkast and Rammstein...whatever that means! What does DIVA want? DIVA wants fun. For themselves and their listeners. Fun not only consisting of slapstick but also made of self-mockery inspired by the recognition of it's own faults. Fun by exposure of the mechanisms of the society they're a part of. And fun by creating an intimate connection to the listener to let you know: You're a Diva too! 'Gestatten...DIVA' is DIVA's first album. Contact DIVA for English lyrics, etc.!
