Gomer Hendrix was born with a Strat in one hand and party favors in the other. His parents spoon-fed him Gerber's Guitarist Mix off a plate made from a Stan Freeberg vinyl record. His first words were 'let's rock' and he mastered a few guitar solos before he was out of diapers. Gomer has played with a variety of hard-rockin' bands, blue-grass, jazz, popular, and original music bands. His commitment to rock and pop culture has been unwavering across the years. He began enjoying the humorous side of music once he discovered Frank Zappa, and began a house band for a comedy club. Unbeknownst to some, Gomer served as the primary inspiration to Wayne's Worlds character Garth. Gomer sings with a clear rock voice that can range from the 80s metal screamers to the smooth jazz sound. He enjoys writing songs that can be enjoyed by a variety of different ways. For those who just want to dance, listen close to the lyrics, hear a few guitar solos, launch into parody, sing along to a memorable song, he attempts to cover all the needs. The Twisted POV release contains songs that were born in the studio, songs performed live from a Stanford radio broadcast, and songs inspired by one of Gomer's favorite hobbies - Burning Man. Gomer makes his bed almost every day, calls his family at least once a month, and believes in the American Way, as long as it's not being prostituted by neo-conservative ideomotors.
