Product Notes

At eight years of age, GT played the part of the young legendary Jazz musician from Fort Worth TX, Ornette Coleman in the movie, "Ornette: Made in America". GT's hunger for music and entertainment began soon after this life changing experience. GT was brought up in a hostile environment. Being locked up in a youth home at an early age, GT was able to find exposure to music by one of the staff members who saw something special in GT. During his stay at the youth home, GT learned a lot and began to hone his skills in entertainment. His love for music was strong and ever growing. During his youth GT was exposed to many negative situations that landed him into incarceration of some kind. The area he grew up in was predominately overrun by the gangs. Being exposed to that environment influenced him to enter into the gang life. But GT matured he saw many of his friends take the wrong path and end up in jail, or dead, and he learned from their mistakes. Even though GT had to deal with tough situations at a young age, he still tried to aspire to go further with his life. GT wanted to prove to everyone that he could turn his life around and actually make something positive of himself. As he endured the street life style GT gained respect from the streets. GT's first mainstream influence, as far as Hip-Hop music was LL-Cool-J. GT 'musical taste was so diverse as a youth, that he also found an interest in artist such as Jim Crow, The Beetles, The Doors, and the Rolling Stones. While attending Western Hills High, GT enjoyed his favorite subject English, where he wrote some of his earlier lyrics. With his street credibility, GT made a name for him self that carried over into the music industry. GT began doing shows in Deep Ellum clubs such as Tropical Exodus, Gypsy Tea Room, to name a few. Seasoning his skills, GT became an underground rap legend in Fort Worth. The more he preformed (over 80+ shows so far) the more notoriety he got. During his musical transition, GT has worked with artists such as Scarface, DJ Quick, Devin the Dude, and many others in the rap game. GT's most recent mixed tape, "Third Coast Criminology; Mixtape Vol 1." is currently heating up in North Texas. Now that GT is with Flow Factory Records label, he feels right at home, and ready to release the new CD, "3 CC" (3rd Coast Criminology)". 3rd Coast Criminology is sure to please long time fans of the Fort Worth rap legend, as well as enlighten those who have never heard of GT before, but have been longing for a different and unique sound in the world of DFW Hip-Hop music. Fans can expect GT to tour the Southern region bringing his intensely unique stage show to audiences across the South.
