The Hayburners are the Seattle-based folk super duo which combines the songwriting talents and acoustic guitarwork of Jennifer Spector and David Tieman. Moving from the Phoenix desert to the Puget Sound area of Washington two years ago, these long-time music partners will take you on a bicycle built for two of award-winning songs and strong vocal harmonies. They share stories form the road, the heart, and...a sneak behind the closed door of married life. Their accolades include a top ten national songwriting finalist at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival and twice a finalist at the at the Tucson Folk Festival competition. Jennifer received her first Washington State honor at the Tumbleweed Folk Festival in September 2007. The CD has lots of great guest instrumentalists, from both the Phoenix area and the Seattle scene. This includes Mike Smith, pedal steel (Gatlin Brothers) and Zak Borden, mandolin (Grammy Nominated Kate MacKenzie, Rachel Harrington), Nova Karina Devonie, accoridian (Sugar Hill Records), Marconias (practically waterproof) among others. Jennifer has shared the stage with folk-greats David Wilcox and Christine Lavin, as well as newer indie heros like Edie Carey and Chris Pureka. Besides being recognized a great songwriter, David\'s guitar playing was in demand live & in the studio around the Phoenix Valley. He also performs regularly with the SOS (Sound of Swing) Big Band of Bellevue, WA.
