Product Notes

The much-anticipated follow-up to receptor's debut EP gestation comes under the new band name Hybrid Dawn. KILL THE MESSENGER is a full-length, 10 track odyssey that spreads it's wings to deliver distinct messages, yet whose overall summed statement is greater than it's parts. The work is a glimpse into the band's progressive development of diverse songcraft, instrumental growth and arrangement that elaborates on their signature sound of 'Heavy Rock Groove'. While their first record gestation is a one-way ticket down the express track, KTM is more of a round-trip journey showcasing versatility in styles and moods. Each song is within itself, and as a collective album, a luring blend of hard-driven yet melodic empathy and poetic passion. As the title suggests, Hybrid Dawn has got some things of impact to say with this project, reflecting on a multitude of social and self-examination levels. But should they be held liable and struck down for just being the middle-man carrying the world's message? You be the judge . .
