Since 1997, Hyphen-One has been exploring the elements of Hip-Hop culture. From grafitti, to turntablism, to lyricism, Hyphen-One does it with passion and positive energy. He has organized, hosted, and entertained his own events since 1998 when he got his first set of turntables. His basketball tournaments and live band shows have raised money to build a new basketball court in the neighborhood that he grew up in. H-1's parties have raised money for various organizations, including the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Determined to display his talent as an artist, Hyphen-One paints on plywood and canvases at his own events to ensure that the element of grafitti is always represented. In 2002 he received highest distinction at a state art show for his piece entitled 6Questions. It was around this time that H-1 also began pursuing music. In 2004 he teamed up with the live hip hop band, Daylow. The band released their debut EP in November, 2005. Look for Hyphen-One's Debut, Independently-released Solo album on August 1st 2006. With a hot album out, a band playing shows, a new album about to come out, artwork being shown and sold all over New Jersey and New York, Hyphen-One is earning respect from the stage, to the DJ Booth, to the art gallery, to the street...The world is next!.
