With a singing style somewhere between the Winans and Commissioned, Quest brings a fresh new sound to Gospel. This quintet is comprised of vocalists Arkese Gaskins, Allyn Johnson, Blandin Mozon, Robert Person, and Dameion Roy. Their music introduces audiences to intricate harmonies, brilliant orchestrations and explosive tracks. Their original compositions take you on a journey through many musical ideas, which the listener will be anxious to explore. Interestingly enough, if you ask about their musical background, they might surprise you. Originally formed over 20 years ago as the R&B group 'Younger Generation,' they were a typical teenage band singing secular music throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area. They were strongly influenced by R&B artists such as New Edition & Boyz II Men. Since that time, they have changed their message without sacrificing their urban contemporary sound. More than 10 years ago, they found Christ and the group changed it's focus from singing for the world to spreading the 'Good News' to the world through word and song. Aware of God's call on their lives to preach, teach and sing the gospel, Quest has truly surrendered to His authority. These singers, songwriters, musicians and producers are active in their faith communities serving as Elders, Deacons and Music Ministers. Not only have they answered God's call to ministry but more importantly, they have responded to His call for excellence in ministry. This is reflected in their recently released, self-produced debut CD 'Introducing Quest.'
