J.Hendrix (J.Pop Super_star, jimi) is probably best known for creating exciting sound-scapes in the world of Hip-Hop and Rap (The Block All-Stars 2330 Kalakua Avenue, Waikiki, Japop Music Presents: Eyes on the City, Eyes on: The Instrumentals). What most don't know is that Hendrix is an Avid Composer of serious instrumental music. Sekigahara is his first offering of it's kind. This wonderful piece skillfully blends western classical style with the beautiful sounds of China and Japan. The first movement's short motif brilliantly moves into movement #2 with it's thunderous tympani conjuring images of the pivotal battle this piece was named for. The brief third movement showcases the percussion section before flowing effortlessly into the 21st century blending the sounds of the Chinese Pipa, Electric Bass, Trap set, etc. The Cadenza completes the piece with a beautiful variation on the main theme rendered on piano. This piece is timeless and will be a valuable part of your collection for many decades to come.
