Jacqui was influenced by music from a very young age. She started learning the violin at age 6, by age 13 she was singing duets and solo performances and at 16 she started to teach herself the piano. For many years from her late teens to early twenties Jacqui gave up on persuing any musical aspirations until she was offered a lead vocalist position in a local band in her hometown of Juneau, Alaska. Performing 4 hour shows to packed crowds was just the experience she needed to rekindel her childhood dream of being a singer/musician. She received her first guitar at age 25 and slowly started teaching herself to play at her cabin 30 miles outside of town in Juneau, Alaska. Her first songs learned were Jewel's, 'You Were Meant For Me', and Bob Dylan's 'Blowing In The Wind'. From there Jacqui has created her own unique playing style and sound. She has been performing as a solo artist in various venues and festivals throughout Arizona and has developed a loyal fan following. Folk/Americana/Blues/Rock all influence the sounds of Jacqui's musical style with simple yet catchy rythems. Her voice is strong yet angelic and delivers a passionate, from the heart sound.
