Since their formation two-and-a-half years ago, Jasper's Corner has been playing the Connecticut and New York music scene at a furious pace. With a rhythm section that features both a set drummer and a percussionist, the band has a truly unique sound that blends creative bass lines, explosive guitar and dynamic vocal melodies into what many have called 'an acoustic experience'. In fact, many articles have been written about the band, and they have appeared several times on television, including Fox News. Critics have compared Jasper's Corner's sound to Dave Matthews and Barenaked Ladies--both of which are major influences on the band. Jasper's Corner is comprised of five members: Peter Mastella on vocals, harmonica, percussion and didjeridoo; Doug Colosky on bass; John Barney on guitar (six and twelve string guitars, mandolin) and vocals; Jim Truscinski on drums; and Jon Ciottone on percussion (bongos, congas, djembe, and other various percussion). With the release of their first, full-length CD 'Wanderlust', Jasper's Corner hopes to bring their sound to the forefront of the music industry.
