Jean Hilbert\'s fascination with music began at the age of 6 when she began picking out melodies on her two-octave xylophone. She began private piano lessons at the age of 7. She continued lessons throughout high school where she entered and won numerous solo piano competitions. She has also been a church pianist for 35 years. Her passion for music has continued to grow over the years and in 1994 she began writing and performing her own compositions. Her instrumental music has been aired on various radio stations across the country. She has performed benefit concerts for Agape Christian School, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Sartori Hospital Festival of Trees as well as performing at the V.I.P. reception preceding a Bill Cosby performance. Jean has performed at various locations throughout the Cedar Valley as a solo pianist including the Cedar Falls Womens Club, Gallagher Blue Dorn Performing Arts Center, Debut Art Gallery, Farraday\'s (Isle of Capri), Sunnyside Country Club, Elks Club, Centennial Oaks Country Club and PIPAC Evens Center. In 2000 Jean teamed up with vocal recording artists Wade Brinkopf and Jeff Reynolds to form the Contemporary Christian group \'Reflections\'. Heaven\'s Dance is her 1st solo piano Christmas CD. The CD features Jean\'s arrangements of traditional Christmas pieces as well as six original compositions. \'Having been in the business for some years I am not often intrigued by the quality and musicality of the clients I encounter, but this was different. Strong instrumental and vocal melodies, accomplished piano playing and intelligent musical and lyrical composition. She performs at local events and charities both as a solo pianist and with \'Reflections\'. She is currently a Department Store Pianist at the Von Mauer store in Cedar Falls, IA as well as the Music Director at her church.
