Fio-Live at Rockwood Music Hall[CD]
Jeff Fiorello is an emerging singer-songwriter whose unique, catchy acoustic rock sound carries a laid back Southern vibe. Most call him Fio (Pronounced Fee-Oh) - so you may as well do the same. He grew up in Niceville, FL, USA and got on to the pop scene while attending Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. There, he began writing seriously and formed his own band, Rustic, that played the college circuit in North Carolina. In 2004 and 2005, he joined his good friends and fellow musicians in FreeMonica. Then, in 2005, Jeff got the opportunity of a lifetime by landing an internship with NBC Saturday Night Live (SNL). With this opportunity in hand, he packed his gear and headed to New York City. While serving his internship with SNL, he played solo gigs around the city and decided to pursue a career in entertainment in earnest. In 2006, he completed his first CD at Tainted Blue Studios in NYC and released his debut album in November 2006. In the summer of 2006, Jeff was one of 10 NYC performers chosen to be on a new show, City Sessions, a television show which captures the music scene in major cities across the country by featuring popular independent artists in those cities. The show, created by Larry Namer, founder of E! Entertainment Television is broadcast in high definition on Your Music Channel, YMCTV. Please preview Jeff's City Sessions performance on the 'City Sessions' link YMCTV.com. Jeff has played shows with the likes of Kenny Rogers, Ingrid Michaelson, Steve Carlson, actress Alicia Witt, and Justin King). He currently resides in New York City.
