Product Notes

Jeff has been writing clever and tuneful pop/rock since the mid 80's, enjoying success with Kansas City faves the Mongol Beach Party and Grumpy. Jeff moved from Kansas City to Chicago in 1995 to more fully immerse himself in the world of popular music. In 2000, he recorded this self titled CD accompanied by some of Chicago's top musicians including Earl Talbot and Leddie Garcia (Poi Dog Pondering), Jeff Jacobs (Billy Joel, Foreigner), Dan Leali (Blue Man Group, formerly with Liquid Soul), Fred Simon, and Marshall Hanbury. These days you can find Jeff playing electric zither and Chapman stick with the Chicago production of Blue Man Group, a position he has held since 2001. You can also catch him playing guitar with local sensation Tributosaurus, where he has received the call to recreate the styles of artists such as the Cars, the Smiths, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello and many others. Look for Jeff and his band the Rock Squad to be playing in and around Chicago in 06 and keep your ear to the ground for new recordings this summer.
