I began studying guitar in 66' memorizing Chet Atkins albums until introduced to rock & blues by the kids who played guitar down the block. My first gig came in 74' alternating bass and lead, and since then I've been playing lead guitar for various country and Southern rock bands around the Gulf Coast area where I was introduced to a microphone. The laid back atmosphere at Limelight Studio in Dickenson allowed me to roast my creative juices and document ideas I'd been storing for a decade. Being the only musician in my recordings frees me from any legal implications surrounding the sale of my CD and MP3 files and makes the creative process flow more freely in general. I'm looking forward to continuing my recording, experimenting with avenues beyond blues, rock and classical as well as my existing styles, and setting my lyrics and poetry to musical ideas. 'For my newest tunes, recorded in 2009, look for 'The Floating Jackhammers'! Joseph David Twing.
