Johnathan Dunn is a singer/songwriter from Howell, Michigan. Country by nature, his music crosses into blues, driving rock, and powerful ballads. A pianist and guitarist, among other things, his live music is full of energy and heart. Along with his original work, Johnathan's live repertoire includes music by Marc Cohen, The Five Man Electrical Band, Vince Gill, and Eric Clapton. Through various groups, Johnathan has opened for such notable acts as John Michael Montgomery, Alabama, and Steve Warner. He was also the 2005 winner of the Vegetable Soup Variety Show in East Lansing, Michigan. Coming from a musical family, Johnathan has had a wide variety of influence when it comes to his taste in music. From bluegrass to 60's & 70's rock, from Boy George to George Thorogood, these were all sounds around his house growing up. Throughout college Johnathan studied jazz performance, classical theory, and recording production. All of this influence makes for a distinct writing style, a creative voice, and a knack for harmony & scoring. This collection of all original songs is now available to the public through CDBaby.com as well as Schuler's Book Stores in Lansing and Okemos. Johnathan is planning a local coffeehouse tour for the Summer and Fall of 2006, and will be playing at venues in Fowlerville, Howell, Lansing, and Ann Arbor.
