Product Notes

From a small neighborhood, in the heart of the 7th ward, down in New Orleans, emerges Hip-Hop artist Johnnie B. Mister focused, yet playful, humble, yet strong, with no other choice but to be creative. After releasing his debut album, "Take It How Ya Wanna" in October 2008, Johnnie B never leaves home without a backpack full of albums. It's not known whether he just enjoys the hustle of a hand-to-hand sale, or a good face-to-face every now and then. Whatever the reason one day he'll catch you in he parking lot! He has also anticipated, the inevitable, but unfortunate death of the audio CD, by making his album available on independent music websites like, CDbaby.com, and other internet sites like iTunes, just to name a few. Johnnie B believes "The way he puts his words together like apostrophes" over his handcrafted beats, is a combination that will entertain any audience. "I'm that check waitin to be cashed, I just haven't been signed yet," as he likes to put it (Put Out The Fire). A stereotypical rapper is something Johnnie B claims he will never be. Attacking the very "person" he believes, told Hip-Hop it was cool to kill, floss, and be phony; television. In "Mad TV" he spends three verses telling T.V. exactly how he feels. One of his many goals is to keep people curious about what he has to say. Why else would he name "The Crackhead Song", the crackhead song? Johnnie B is unsigned and not really trying to be signed. He just wants to get his point across the streets, perform until he's breathing hard, and sell albums.
