Jon Hartmann is a veteran keyboard session player from Los Angeles who has worked with the Staple Singers, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eartha Kitt, Oscar Brown, Jr., The Ink Spots, Steve Khan, The Platters, Ike & Tina Turner, Sal Marquez, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Jaye P. Morgan, Morey Amsterdam, Barry Zweig, and many others. He studied musical composition at UCLA with Roy Harris, and began his career in 1968, playing in a USO Jazz group that was sent to Southeast Asia. His new album, The 10th House, is a true blending of be-bop and rock...full of guitars and funk, but holding on to the tradition of mainstream Jazz.
